Falcons Girls’ Year 6 pupils recently showcased their musical talents while performing under the chandeliers at the Centenary Anniversary Gala Dinner for renowned charity, Save the Children.
The pupils delighted the audience, which included the Lord Mayor of London, with renditions of When I Grow Up from the musical ‘Matilda’ and made sure that there was not a dry eye in the house when they sang A Million Dreams from the film ‘The Greatest Showman’. The pupils were fantastic and coped very well after a quick and unexpected change in venue.
In recognition of the exceptional performance delivered by the girls despite the sudden venue change, the Lord Mayor has personally invited the pupils for a special tour of Mansion House and to meet him personally.
Later in the evening, guests at the gala also enjoyed a performance from celebrity singer, Pixie Lott who took to the same stage as our pupils.
Headmistress, Sara Williams-Ryan commented: “We are incredibly proud of our girls who, regardless of a quick and unexpected venue change, put on an incredible performance. The pupils were wonderful ambassadors for Falcons.”
